This project was completed in the Fall 2025 semester as part of the "Information Technologies" course at Pratt Institute, overseen by professor Bill Levay.

In my role as a post-production director for a boutique animation studio, I built an archive structure for a decade’s worth of the studio’s output, securely copying thousands of files onto magnetic tape for long-term offsite storage, and writing a how-to manual for training and reference purposes. The year-long archive project sparked my interest in digital asset management.

This blog-style research project is a demonstration of how my knowledge of the production pipeline could apply to streamlined information retrieval tools such as ResourceSpace for video production and marketing. The website outlines my exploration of the open-source ResourceSpace platform with step-by-step documentation of its interface, functionality, and customizability.

The stated goals of the course were:

  • Introduce fundamental concepts of information technology infrastructure, internet, and web design principles.

  • Develop a general understanding of the information technologies used for creating, managing, storing, and accessing information.

  • Understand contemporary issues and trends in the development and changes of information technologies and their ethical, environmental, and/or societal impacts.
